17A- Elevator Pitch No. 2

Something that I did not take into account when coming up with my idea for more efficient elevators was the practical application of how much better the program was for energy consumption. Reducing the number of floors visited and time wasted was the main selling point of my pitch and my opportunity, but after some feedback from my classmates, I incorporated the green aspect of my project into the pitch and assignments. This opens up so many new avenues in marketing and profitability, without having to change my product. This feedback was important and useful.

Things I changed in the elevator pitch were my location as well as my introduction. My hook is still the same, but now I include a thought provoking, but rhetorical, question about how much energy is wasted by current elevator users. Otherwise, the only changes I made were to make the presentation flow more smoothly and efficiently.

  1. Hello Jacob, you did a really great job on your second elevator pitch. I have waited for an elevator for a very long time and it was frustrating. It is awesome that you would want to develop a formula that would be made into a computer program then sold to elevator companies. You would be giving a company the competitive advantage over other elevator companies. Keep up the great work!

Nice work on your second elevator pitch. I like how you changed the background and have changed your introduction. It was a smart idea to incorporate energy consumption and to make that a selling point without having to alter your product. My only suggestion for your final pitch would be to raise your laptop when recording where you are looking directly at the screen instead of the camera looking up at you.
